Foreclosure can happen for many various reasons and many more than we could begin to name.  Normally the foreclosure follows a job loss.  The homeowner may have been laid off or fired and foreclosure may happen as a result.  If someone gets seriously sick and has medical bills piling up it can strain the funds of the owner.  It also could be tied to poor money management, high levels of excess spending or debt,  or outside personal factors such as a divorce etc. that can stress the financial abilities of the homeowner and ultimately cause forclosure to subsequently happen.   No matter what, the owners are normally trying their very best, but can not ovecome the obstacles and each person's circumstances are unique.
